Course overview
Food-nutrition-is as important to us as the fluids we drink and the air (oxygen) we breathe. When an individual is unable to receive adequate nutrition orally, what can be done? A decision may be made that a feeding tube is the most appropriate solution. Persons who have swallowing issues with placement of a feeding tube can expect a long life, with proper monitoring, care and treatment of the tube and insertion site.
