Discusses cognitive screens for the adult neuropsychology populations including St. Louis University Mental Status Exam (SLUMS), Mini-Mental State Exam (MMSE), the Kettle Test, Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), and Mini-Inventory of Right Brain Injury-Second Edition (MIRBI-2). Briefly touches on additional screens including Mini-Cog, Cognistat, Comprehensive Trail-Making Test, and Repeatable Battery for the Assessment of Neuropsychological Status (RBANS). Includes assessments for functional cognition; and identifies key strategies including performance, learning, self-regulation, problem-solving, and memory. Discussion of the mild traumatic brain injury rehabilitation toolkit, and how to choose a strategy.
