Course overview
Program Objectives: Be able to explain the importance of good hygiene in relation to a person’s physical and emotional well-being. Be able to explain situations that may require a person to need more frequent oral care. Be able to describe observations that a nursing assistant should make while assisting a person with bathing and skin care. Be able to explain how to assist to what level assistance is required when; eating, bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, ambulation. Be able to list the resident’s physical and emotional needs. Be able to list common behaviors and common health issues when working with a resident.
