Course overview

The purpose of this course is to comply with a Florida Board of Nursing rule requiring nurses licensed in Florida to complete a 2-hour course on the laws and rules that govern the practice of nursing each renewal cycle. These laws and rules include scope of practice of registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, certified nursing assistants, as well as advanced nursing practice. In addition, the course covers continuing education requirements, CE Broker reporting, and disciplinary action against nurses' licenses. The course includes numerous judicial decisions decided within the last five years in which nurses were disciplined. These are actual cases involving nurses licensed in Florida.
