Course overview

This course is designed to introduce you to the lab director's responsibilities as spelled out in the CLIA regulations. The types of responsibilities are broken down into five categories. For each responsibility we also present ways that you can meet this responsibility. A printable summary of this information is available in the Resources section of this course. At the end of this course the learner will be able to: Recognize the laboratory director responsibilities for a moderate or high complexity laboratory. Identify ways for the laboratory director to meet each lab director responsibility. Given a specific scenario, decide if laboratory director responsibilities are being met in a laboratory.
