Updated for 2019! This course will discuss medical marijuana in the US. We will review its legality, the research regarding medical use, and recommendations put forth by government research. The history of marijuana in America will be presented. We will then focus on the difficult issues surrounding the entire situation, including legal, clinical, and ethical. The Codes of Conduct for CCM, CRC, and CDMS will be explored in the context of medical marijuana and these legal and ethical difficulties. We will finish the course by presenting the recommendations for the use of medical marijuana in the treatment of cancer, multiple sclerosis (MS), and epilepsy in the United States.
