Course overview

The angiotensin receptor blockers are one of the most widely used anti-hypertensives. They are a first-line choice for treating primary hypertension in the general non-black population and for people ¿ 18-years of age who have hypertension and chronic kidney disease. In general, the medical guidelines purport that the use of angiotensin receptor blockers are well tolerated as monotherapy, including in combination therapy with other anti-hypertensive medications known to improve adherence to treatment and are a mainstay in the treatment of hypertension. There is no antidote for ARB poisoning. The recommended treatment is to use standard and supportive care.
