Course overview

In a time of intersecting conversations concerning long-standing and systemic racial injustices faced by underrepresented minorities in the United States and profound health and education inequity during a global pandemic, deliberate effort to improve health equity is more critical than ever. Framed in the context of the essential role of a diverse medical professional workforce, this session will provide participants a deeper understanding of the complex interplay between social determinants of health with health inequity and disparities. The session will close with a conversation about how we in pathology can contribute meaningfully to achieve health equity for our patients - complete well-being for all.
