Human Trafficking: Bringing Light to a Hidden Nightmare
Tracking # 20-647894
Course overview
Human trafficking is a widespread form of slavery that exists today, even within the United States. Victims of human trafficking come in all sexes, genders, nationalities, and ethnicities. Modern slavery includes sex trafficking, and domestic, industrial, or farm labor; however, the majority of victims in the United States are unwilling participants in the sex trade. This module covers the information, tools, and resources for the healthcare team to identify, assess, and treat victims of human trafficking, and provides referral resources for legal and social services.
