Course overview: This course provides a brief overview of hypothyroidism including symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment. Learning objectives After reading this article, the learner will be able to: -Describe the anatomy and physiology of the thyroid gland. -Describe the most common presenting signs and symptoms of hypothyroidism. -Interpret lab tests and recognize abnormal findings associated with hypothyroid disease.
