Audience This course is intended for all nurses. Course overview This course will discuss the disparities in health care and increased health risks that exist in the LGBT population, as well as ways to provide improved care for this community. Learning objectives After reading the article, the learner will be able to: -Identify causes of health-care disparity in the LGBT population. -Name risks that are increased among LGBT groups. -Suggest changes to increase LGBT access to primary care.
