Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity and the Brain

Course overview

SP002 - The purpose of this course is to familiarize the learner with basic information concerning attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Information on the history and prevalence of the condition, and its primary symptoms and causes, will be presented. The neurodevelopmental nature of ADHD will be explained, along with common co-occurring disorders. Finally, identification of the disorder will be discussed, along with the diagnostic and treatment process.
