HIV & AIDs in the Age of Technology Florida Update

Course overview

The epidemic of HIV & AID’s officially began in 1981 in the United States when the CDC released findings of clusters of patient’s succumbing to Pneumocystis pneumonia (PCP). Subsequently, PCP was identified as an AID’s defining opportunistic infection (ADOI). Thus alerting the CDC that the larger problem was the underlying HIV & AID’s infections weakening the immune system affording ADOI’s an optimal environment to thrive and cause significant morbidity and mortality. Since 1981, major advances in genomics, epidemiology and HIV & AID’s treatment have allowed healthcare professionals to better understand and holistically treat HIV & AID’s patients. This continuing education activity is designed to update Florida's healthcare professionals clinical knowledge of the navigation of care for the HIV & AID’s patient and considerations regarding HIV & AID’s.
