Course overview

SP029 - The purpose of this course is to familiarize the learner with the correct use of the differing ambulatory devices used to ensure the safety of the resident and caregiver when transferring or supporting residents during ambulation. Information about different devices are presented e.g., how it works, intended uses, application, safety considerations. The course engages the learners in learning how to utilize different devices and assisting residents with ambulation and transfers as well as how to ensure the safety of both the resident and the caregiver when providing this assistance.
