Course overview

Vaccines offer protection against infectious diseases for individual pets and for herd immunity. When vaccines lapse, outbreaks occur. AAHA (American Animal Hospital Association) and AAFP (American Association of Feline Practitioners) have created guidelines for veterinarians based on scientific research. The guidelines include Core, Noncore, Conditionally Licensed Vaccines as well as vaccines that are not recommended. This lecture is 60 minutes and consists of speaker Becky Smith, CVT, VTS (Clinical Practice Canine/Feline) doing a formal presentation on the AAHA/AAFP guidelines for vaccines in dogs and cats.
