Course overview

With the increasing number of individuals with dementia, including Alzheimer’s, it is crucial to improve education, training, and organizational support for direct care workers (DCWs) in order to prepare for and fulfill the need for highly competent direct care workers who can deliver quality comprehensive person-centered care to people living with dementia. Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia are not a normal part of aging. It is a progressive and fatal brain disease that is the most common form of dementia.
