Drug Diversion: Protecting Your Practice

Course overview

This presentation will allow those working in the retail pharmacy setting to become more aware of scams and deceptions that are commonplace by drug seekers. In addition, common sense solutions to prevent drug crimes, pharmacy robberies and burglaries will be discussed. Pharmacists will be better equipped to work positively with prescribers in accommodating legitimate patients while weeding out those trying to deceive both the prescriber and dispenser of controlled substances.
