Cynthia Webner, DNP, RN, CCNS, CCRN-CMC, CHFN, and Karen Marzlin DNP, RN, CCNS, CCRN-CMC, CHFN, in this program will teach you to understand the physiological basis for cardiovascular drug therapy and discuss drugs used to manipulate hemodynamic parameters, alter the cardiac electrical system, interrupt the clotting process, and to treat a variety of cardiovascular disease states. An understanding of the physiological basis for using cardiovascular agents, the indications and appropriate patient selection, and potential adverse consequences are keys to patient safety and optimal patient outcomes.
