Pregabalin
Tracking # 20-674398
Course overview
Pregabalin is a miscellaneous anticonvulsant that is effective as an adjunctive therapy for patients who have focal seizures. It is also effective for treating fibromyalgia, neuropathic pain associated with spinal cord injury, and post-herpetic neuralgia. Pregabalin has been considered as an off-label treatment for chronic pain and opioid use disorder, and has been found to be effective to alleviate anxiety. Case studies have highlighted the benefit of pregabalin use over other narcotic analgesics in the treatment of chronic neuropathic pain because of the lower side effect profile of pregabalin during long-term therapy. No Test Required!
