Course overview

Infectious diseases are disorders caused by organisms such as bacteria, viruses, fungi or parasites. Although typically harmless, under certain circumstances, some organisms may cause disease. In this course, Kimberly McMinn goes over modern infectious disease agents and how TCM can provide relief through acupuncture and herbal medicine. Topics covered will include HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, MRSA, and other diseases in which details describing the infectious agents and treatment options of different TCM syndromes will be provided. In addition, safety protocols used when treating infectious diseases will be addressed.
