Identify the etiologic agents of Marburg virus disease (MVD). 2. Describe the structure and life cycle of the marburgviruses. 3. Discuss the epidemiology of MVD. 4. Summarize the clinical presentation and pathophysiology of MVD. 5. Describe the currently used methods used for laboratory diagnosis of MVD, and describe the new testing methodologies being developed for clinical diagnostics. 6. Recall the basic elements of recent treatment and vaccine development against MVD.
