The goal of this module is to provide nurses with the knowledge and skills required to maintain cardiovascular stability in the perianesthesia patient. After reviewing this module, the learner will be able to: Describe the components of a cardiovascular assessment in the perianesthesia patient Determine the appropriate nursing interventions to maintain hemodynamic stability in a patient recovering from anesthesia Identify the effects of general/regional anesthesia on the cardiovascular system Recognize cardiovascular complications in the post anesthesia patient
