The goal of this module is to provide nurses with the knowledge and skills required to maintain stability of the genitourinary and reproductive systems in perianesthesia patients. On completion of this module, the learner will be able to: Describe the anatomy and function of genitourinary system Discuss the indications and treatment for common genitourinary/reproductive surgical procedures Recognize post-operative complications for the genitourinary/reproductive surgical patient Describe the physiologic changes associated with pregnancy and the post-operative implications
