Course overview
Many types of shoulder conditions are treated both surgically and non-surgically. The shoulder is a complex structure that can lead to various types of injuries. Shoulder pathology often leads to surgery but may also be treated more conservatively. It is important to understand the key anatomy of the shoulder to understand how common shoulder pathologies occur such as rotator cuff pathology, shoulder osteoarthritis, shoulder impingement, adhesive capsulitis, and other conditions. Post-operative rehabilitation is important following any type of shoulder surgery and the post-operative rehabilitation following a rotator cuff repair, shoulder arthroscopy, and a reverse total arthroscopy will be explored in this course.
