Course overview

This course will cover evidence-based approaches for feeding in the pediatric population. Strategies for managing picky eaters, transitions from tube to oral feeding, as well sensory and motor based feeding challenges, will be covered. Case examples will be provided to further highlight effective strategies in a variety of therapy settings, including hospital, home and community environments. Family-centered care approaches will also be incorporated, to ensure best practices in pediatric feeding. This course is applicable to occupational and physical therapy practitioners who have experienced the physical, sensory and social-emotional challenges among children related to the occupation of feeding.
