Course overview

This Course is designed to educate medical providers in the various blood borne pathogens that are recognized today. Students will be prepared to discuss specific pathogens and their respective signs and symptoms as well as how to prevent exposure. The following topics will be discussed or researched during the course of the class: Blood borne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030) - Employee Pathogens Training – Epidemiology and General Symptoms – Types of Transmission - Disease Causing Agents – Prevention Exposure Incidents-
