Course overview
The 10-Hour Laws & Rules for Massage Therapist course includes 10 contact hours needed for initial licensure. This course will provide an overview of the various rules and regulations pertaining to the practice of massage therapy within the state of Florida. The relevant statutes can be found in Chapters 456 and 480 of the Florida statutes as well as Rule 64B7 of the Florida Administrative Code. These rules and statutes not only outline the scope of practice and qualifications for licensure as a massage therapist, but they also detail certain types of behaviors that are prohibited by massage therapists. It is imperative that massage therapists have a working knowledge of these rules and regulations since failure to comply, whether intentionally or unintentionally, can result in substantial fines or even suspension or revocation of the practitioner's license. **This online course can be conveniently completed from your computer or mobile device at your own pace.
