Florida Update - HIV/AIDS in the New Millennium

Course overview

The HIV epidemic has slowed from a period of rapid growth during the mid- to late- 1980s to a more stable prevalence. While the number of patients benefiting from antiretroviral therapy is significant, not all patients obtain maximal benefit. This phenomenon is related to varied factors, including the continued associated stigma of HIV-associated disease. This continuing education program will update Florida healthcare professionals clinical knowledge of the care of patients with and issues surrounding HIV/AIDS and the Florida state relicensure requirements for healthcare professionals.
