Course overview

This intense one hour course is intended for a wide audience of health care providers involved in the provision emergency care and hyperbaric medicine, including the registered nurse, nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist, registered respiratory therapist, and physicians. The goals of the course are to educate the audience as the pathophysiological impact of carbon monoxide and cyanide poisoning on the bodys systems and treatment options including the pharmacological of hyperbaric medicine as a primary treatment modality. The course is delivered online via video lecture, and also includes a slide review of lecture material, and an article on Air Quality in the Hyperbaric Chamber. Evaluation conducted by a quiz and course evaluation.
