Eye Injuries: Response for EMS (v2)
Tracking # 20-760173
Course overview
Sight, or the ability to see, is a basic and important body function. Injuries to the eyes that result in the activation of EMS tend to be associated with a high likelihood of potential vision loss or deficit. Effective EMS assessment, treatment, and transportation of patients with eye injuries can help reduce the chance of permanent eye damage. This course reviews the key structures of the eye, how the eye works, the types of injuries that can occur, and assessment and treatment of a patient with an eye injury.
