Course overview

Nurses have a great professional and regulatory responsibility to notice and report any change in a person's condition. Early detection and reporting of changes improves the quality of life for individuals living in long-term care settings and can help prevent unnecessary hospital admissions. This learning activity will identify significant changes from resident baseline status that should be communicated to the healthcare provider as well as common emergency situations that require immediate assessment, intervention and notification.
