Recognizing and Reporting Changes in Resident Condition: CNA

Course overview

The people who live in a long-term care facility trust the nursing staff to be there to care for them, help them, and notice when something is wrong. Noticing a change in person's condition and reporting it is a vital part of the CNA's job and is tied to quality of care. This educational activity will to enable the learner to recognize common changes in condition in the older adult living in the long-term care setting that require reporting to the nurse as outlined in RoP, Phase 3. The target audience is certified nursing assistants but may be beneficial for activity professionals and volunteers or for use in a certified nursing assistant training program.
