Course overview

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a chronic and progressive neurological disease that can lead to debilitating mobility and balance impairments. Physical therapy professionals have specific skills that can help maximize safety and independence throughout the course of the disease. Since there is no cure for PD, the goal of treatment is to manage the symptoms with medication and therapy to improve mobility and quality of life. In this course, you will learn how to use your knowledge of the disease progression to create effective, evidence-based interventions for patients with PD.
