Opioids Basics

Course overview

This 2 contact hour course is intended for RN's, LPN's, CNS, ARNP's and other health care providers. Prescription opioids (like hydrocodone, oxycodone, and morphine) can be prescribed by doctors to treat moderate to severe pain, but have serious risks and side effects. This course will review the basics of opioid use in todays medical field and how it is effecting the healthcare field.
