Course overview

This 6 contact hour course is intended for RN's, LPN's, CNS, ARNP's and other health care providers. LEARNING OBJECTIVES Upon completion of this course, the healthcare provider will be able to: Identify and describe how the flu is transmitted and its symptoms. Identify and list the groups at high risk. Explain the rationale for vaccination and other preventative measures against seasonal flu. Identify vaccination types and how they are administered. Describe contraindications and adverse reactions to the vaccine. Discuss the purpose of the vaccine information statement.
