Course overview

According to the CDC over 300,000 people each year, contract Lyme disease. Did you know Lyme is just one of a dozen possible illnesses spread by ticks? Lyme and other tick borne infections can mimic a wide variety of mental health conditions ranging from bipolar, to panic disorder, to major depression, even dementia. This training will change the way you view mental health, forever. Please join me in discussing and learning about this important end evolving issue. By the end of this training the learner will: - Be able to identify and describe the prevalence and signs of disease with emphasis on neuropsychological presentations - Be able to apply methods for supporting patients and their families throughout the difficult phases of treatment, and symptom management - Be able to assist patients with self advocacy within the medical system
