Fiber Optic Cable Design and Installation

Course overview

This course will focus on designing and installing fiber optic cabling systems, how to correctly install, terminate, and test fiber optic cabling systems according to the TIA/EIA-568-B cabling standard for voice or data applications. This course describes the specific details for pulling, supporting, and termination of fiber optic cabling systems either inside of buildings or between buildings for campus applications. This training course also defines the minimum performance specifications for optical fiber cables installed for either voice or data applications. Finally, this training course shows step by step instructions for each stage of fiber optic cabling installation and testing.
