Course overview

I will start with a discussion of how organizations usually handle employee self-care. We will see that our failure in supporting staff to take care of themselves better is a missed business opportunity to develop staff more and to keep them longer. We will then explore how to plan for staff self-care, and how to promote common practices that fit into the work day. We will examine some dilemmas: how to do what is good for individuals and for the organization. We will also look at some practical ways to get started and make the effort sustainable.
