Human Trafficking

Course overview

This course is intended to educate medical professionals on the issues that pertain specifically to the complex dynamics of human trafficking. This training module includes general education regarding the basics of the trafficking process, as well as specific indicators for medical personnel to recognize and intervene in suspected trafficking situations. The delivery of this education involves a multi-jurisdictional approach working with medical professionals, EMS, law enforcement, and social workers. All practitioners are in a position to look for key indicators to identify potential victims, provide the appropriate care and access to resources, and potentially save a life.
