Course overview

People who have had a stroke are transitioning more quickly from in-patient to post-acute settings. Many are discharged directly to their home; therefore, home health physical therapists and assistants are working with patients in the acute stages of recovery. This course will provide an overview of validated outcome measures and evidence-based physical therapy interventions for the acute stages of recovery after stroke. It will also review guidelines for setting goals and documenting patient progress.
