Course overview

Social workers have been increasingly using technology to deliver services to clients, communicate with clients, gather information about clients, communicate with and about colleagues, and educate students and practitioners new ethical challenges come to the forefront. Recently, these dramatic changes in the ways that social workers use technology have led to major efforts to develop new ethical standards in the profession. This course discusses the importance of developing risk management strategies and contains recommendations for the ethical use of social media.
