Course overview

Due to the high prevalence of diabetes and vascular disease, patients with lower extremity amputations (LEA) have become increasingly common in post-acute care (PAC) settings. This course reviews the most common reasons for amputation, considerations for acute and post-acute residual limb management, and potential complications that may affect the patient's rehabilitation potential.
