The Pharmacology of Asthma
Tracking # 20-726068
Course overview
Asthma is a common condition that affects people of all age categories. Currently there is no cure for asthma. However, the appropriate long-term management involving non-pharmacotherapeutic and pharmacotherapeutic treatment options can prevent acute asthma exacerbations and promote better prognosis. The National Asthma Education and Prevention Program guidelines have not been updated since 2007. Since then there have been a number of new therapies and medications approved for the management of asthma, including new inhaler delivery systems and interleukin-5 inhibitors.
