As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, many community-based healthcare providers are being called into the hospital setting to augment and support clinical staff. This has resulted in a need for "just-in-time" education to enhance the outpatient clinician's knowledge and proficiency in commonly encountered inpatient clinical scenarios and to prepare them for management of hospitalized patients. This CME activity, Hospital Medicine Fundamentals: On Demand, is designed to provide physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other health-related professionals with fundamental information and skills to improve the care of their hospitalized patients. This course focuses on practical management of problems commonly encountered in hospital medicine. An emphasis will be placed on recent advances, up-to-date practices, and guidelines for inpatient care. Presented by Continuing Education Company (CEC) for over 27 years, our Primary Care CME Conference Series is designed to update primary care clinicians in rapidly changing therapeutic areas. The videos in the course were recorded during the Annual National Hospitalist Conferences.
