As new advances are made in routine and advanced histological staining, global standards organizations such as the International Organization for Standardization(ISO), the College of American Pathologists (CAP), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) continue to require more standardization for the handling and processing of clinical tissue specimens. In addition, this updated workshop will focus on the most common sources of preanalytical variation, its cause, how it effects routine and advanced staining techniques, and improvements you can make to work toward standardization.
