Course overview
This course will define and discuss issues surrounding cultural competency and diversity in counseling. Diversity issues faced by clients and counselors including culture, race, ethnicity, attitudes, ethnocentrism, will be addressed, and culture-specific issues will be addressed. Multicultural counseling competency and its applications in the therapeutic relationship are explored at length.
