Assessing for Suicide Risk using the C-SSRS

Course overview

Participants will review the new suicide risk assessment policies and procedures as well as how to utilize the forms in practice. Best practices for assessing risk of suicide and use of the Columbia Suicide-Severity Rating Scale will be reviewed. Examples of how to implement suicide risk assessments in clinical situations will be discussed. Once risk is assessed, participants will learn best practices on safety planning.
