Course overview

Goals and Objectives To define and illustrate anxiety as "the capacity of life to adapt to threats, real and imagined," rather than as a psychiatric pathology. To examine circumstances experiences as threats in one's own family, and to consider the impact of these experiences over three generations. To identify these anxiety reactions in one's own physiology and behavior. To practice ways of interrupting these anxiety reactions that can be taught to others in therapy.
