Course overview

Nurses working in the long-term care setting are responsible for the care and safety of the residents. This responsibility includes noticing and reporting any changes in a resident's condition. Federal guidelines mandate that a nurse working in the long-term care setting possess the knowledge and skills to accurately assess the needs of a resident. This educational activity is an in-depth review of the components of the comprehensive, targeted, and functional assessments of a resident assessment to be performed by the nurse.
