Course overview

This course examines adapting intensive outpatient treatment for specific populations and treatment approaches for other special groups, including minority populations. Groups included are the justice system population, women, co-occurring psychiatric disorders, adolescents, young adults, LGB, Hispanic/Latino, African American, Asian, Native American, the disabled, cognitive disabilities, rural populations, the homeless and older adults. Both chapters outline evidence-based treatment, and use statistics by population.
